Hi and thank you for visiting my gallery!  If you clicked this page, you must be curious about who made these gallery images.  My name is Missy.  I'm a self-taught 3-D digital artist.  I began pursuing this interest in the late '90's.  I actually began a bit earlier learning graphic programs in an effort to create a family "home page."  This led to the 3-D world, and once I entered that world, I never came back out.  :-)  What is 3-D Art?  Well, I'm sure you've heard of Pixar, and you've probably seen Shrek or similar movies created by Pixar.  They use 3-D programs to create all of the movie animation.  3-D artists use those type of programs to create artwork.  You will see a lot of children's images in my gallery.  I especially like making whimsical images.  To make people smile gives me great joy.  I've spent much of the last 10 years trying to improve my skills, taking tutorials, and creating creating creating. 

My latest passion in addition to 3-D art is Fractal art.  Fractals are images created using mathematical algorithms.  The fun thing about fractals is that you never know what you are going to get.  You will see a lot of my fractal art in the "abstract" section, although it is spattered around the whole site. 

Prior to devoting my time solely to creating art, I spent several years creating Windows desktop themes.  I loved creating themes, and received a few honors during that time.  My themes were published on EZ CD Creator 5 on their bonus CD that came with the program.  I also had some of my themes published in an oriental graphics magazine.  One of my images was also used as a CD cover for a world music-type group, and another image was used on a hard rock band cover (neither famous yet).  That was a fun time in my life, but with the increasing demands in life, I decided to focus only on art. 

Personally, I'm married to a wonderful man, Mike, who has been the love of my life almost my whole life.  We met when we were 14/15 years old.  We've been married now 27 years with no plans of stopping.  We have three ugly kids, (just checking to see if you are paying attention), I mean, beautiful kids; (Molly) almost 21, (Mikaila) 15, and (Mitchell) 13.  I am a stay-at-home mom full-time and an artist part-time (or so I like to think).  Soon I may begin working for my husband's law firm as his office manager.  (I'll still be doing artwork during the day I hope he knows lol).
